Mr. Băiculescu has acted on many mergers and acquisitions and high-profile Romanian privatizations, having a wide and considerable experience of the due diligence process and the negotiation of transaction documentation.
Mr. Băiculescu has advised on regulatory issues, bid and tender preparation, negotiation of sale purchase agreements, merger and acquisition finance, post-acquisition transition and integration, as well as corporate restructuring.
Mr. Băiculescu’s expertise in the banking & finance area spans all aspects of general finance and banking law, contractual relationship, syndicated loans and compliance, with a focus on project finance transactions, bank restructuring, bank privatization, electronic banking etc. He represented local and multinational banks in many banking transactions in numerous industries and markets. Further areas of expertise include telecom, information technology and media, insurance, aviation. Mr Băiculescu published numerous articles and is a frequent lecturer at various seminars and conferences on related matters.
Mr. Băiculescu is a former Parliamentary advisor and has also acted as legal counsel to the World Bank. He speaks Romanian, English and French.
Mr. Băiculescu is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association and an Honorary Fellow of the Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria.
