Mihai Popa has been with Muşat & Asociaţii for ten years, during which period he gathered a remarkable expertise in assisting and advising clients throughout all the steps of reorganization and insolvency proceedings, including judicial and voluntary reorganization, pre–insolvency proceedings, bankruptcy and liquidation, asset recovery and/or negotiations with debtors and creditors. Furthermore, Mihai manages complex litigation files in the insolvency field concerning, amongst other, the recovery of receivables, cancellation of fraudulent acts, actions against the measures ordered by judicial receivers, and successfully coordinates cases entrusted by clients active in a wide range of sectors, such as energy, constructions, pharmaceuticals, retail or financial.

Cosmin Libotean is a long-established member of the Muşat & Asociaţii legal team, relying on a professional track record exceeding 12 years.. His area of expertise covers commercial litigation, administrative litigation and disputes in connection to some of the most complex cases of public procurement. During his career as a litigator he acted on behalf of a large portfolio of domestic and international companies from various industries – financial/banking, pharmaceuticals, media or retail – before the Romanian courts, in landmark cases, with considerable financial implications. Furthermore, Cosmin provides legal assistance in insolvency and enforcement procedures, being unanimously praised by our firm’s clients for his proven expediency and efficiency in handling sensitive files.

Răzvan Stoicescu has a professional experience of more than 11 years and his areas of expertise include Banking Law, Financing, Capital Markets and Telecom & IT. He was involved in a number of landmarkprojects, carried out by prestigious international institutions from the financial sector but also by legal entities owned by the Romanian State. He advised a significant portfolio of international-level clients (financers, borrowers, issuers, etc.) in relation to issues pertaining to the financial, banking and capital markets sectors – domestic and international financing agreements, structured products, derivatives, regulatory aspects in the financial, banking and capital markets fields. Răzvan is also well known for his expertise in mergers & acquisitions and, in particular, for his capacity of providing sound analysis and innovative solutions regarding the structuring of such transactions.

At the same time, 5 attorneys who have been with our law firm for a long time, specializing in various areas of practice, have been promoted to “Managing Associates”, namely: Vlad Cordea (Energy & Natural Resources), Bogdan Mihai (Telecom, IT & Media), Bogdan Riti (Corporate Law/Mergers & Acquisitions), Andrei Georgescu (Competition and IP) and Liviu Viorel (Civil and Commercial Litigation), while other 8 attorneys have been promoted to “Senior Associates”, asfollows: Alina Tacea, Alina Solschi, Andra Mihalache, Ioana Doboacă, Iuliana Iacob, Alexandra Vîjîiac, Iuliana Popa and Andreea Piţurcă.
